Puzzle Competition Brings Families Together

A Puzzle Competition brought families and Notre Dame students together on the ND campus December 6 in an effort to raise awareness and funds for autism. Special Friends, a Notre Dame club that pair ND students with area families, sponsored the event, along with Ryan Hall dormitory and the ND Class of 2011. See the full story in The Observer.

College Fair

"After High School - What Next?" a College Fair hosted by LOGAN and the Sonya Ansari Center for Autism, took place on October 10. Many interested families found resources, heard presentations, and viewed a new online resource tool to help their children prepare for college. A highlight of the College Fair was a power-point presentation conducted by Stephanie Hay, a graduate of South Bend's Clay High School and of the Pace Program at National Louis University in Chicago. Diagnosed with Down Syndrome, Stephanie is an inspiration to others with learning challenges to never give up. Her presentation will focus on her college experience at National Louis, a professional assistance center for college students with learning disabilities. Stephanie graduated from the two-year Pace Program last spring and is now in the university's transition program.

Garden Party


This summer's garden party was held on a beautiful July night at the home of Robin Zon and Gary Ludwig. Guests enjoyed cocktails on the veranda and dinner under the stars as they gathered in support of the Sonya Ansari Center for Autism.
